SCDF: Chinese New Year Dinner 2010

10th February 2010 ( Wednesday ). It was my 2nd night shift and there's also a Chinese New Year Dinner event going on that evening too. Selected one was chosen and i was one of them. I was told by Zul (CSM) to report at SCDF HQ lobby around 1810. I left home around 1705. Took a cab at around 1715. I told the driver to go by Kaki Bukit Flyover since it is the fastest route and less traffic to reached to my work place but the driver insist on going by PIE as it is the fastest route for him. I argue with the driver but by then, he already turn into PIE expressway. Really.. wtf!! So, i kept my cool but few minutes later, i got more piss.. My cab was caught in a heavy traffic jam.. Seriously what the hell!! The cab driver still takes his own sweet time to drive.. I told the driver that i was freaking late hence also my I/C Alastier already starts calling me time to time where my location is.. now i start to freak out. The driver still can dare to say.. Safety come first young man.. Damn.. really it got to my nerves.. by then, i reached around 1820. The cab fare was around $15+ (Tampines - Ubi Ave 4) imagine that. hmmm... -__- ! *&*^&%&^$^%$

Hop on the bus together with the rest of the NSF. Thank god, i was on time before the bus move out. Snap some pictures here and there..

Me, Alastair @ Ong head back to SCDF HQ and continue on with our night shift. It was a tiring day but it was worth it. An atmosphere filled with multi racial community within the general staffs and NSF. I wont mind to go the function again next year.

~ Rota Test ~

Intake by intake pass down through out the whole generation. New fresh birds enters into different rota while the old birds retire and move on to a new different life after National Service. Everyone went through the same. All the hard work, endurance and perseverance they went through, brings history to their names. Some became legendary while others became a symbol of unity. Story about them were told as their names continue on to be remembered.

I went through alot of shits when i enter Rota 1 in SCDF HQ. My seniors have a very high expectation on us when we were on duty. That's just how NS life is. Just endure a little while. For the past few months, many things i learn along the way. The do and don'ts applies all the time. As times comes, its time to move on to a new different level and become a symbol of Guardians to look after the new birds which just entered into the Rota.

In order to move on, Rota Test was set to see if we still have the knowledge on our everyday work and also abit of harsh training were conducted. After that, we were able to look ahead as Direct Seniors. After the test, all our knowledge and experience were pass down to the new birds. Our duty as the direct Seniors were to guide and teach them so that in future, they would do the same as what we did.

On the 9th February 2010, the 112th ( Direct Seniors ) set the rota test for the 113th new birds. The test examination was set by me. It was tough for them to pass but they made it by few points thanks to the life line given which i help out abit. When comes to the harsh training part, it was totally lame. Not even 10mins, all of them is like 1/2 dead. So i got no choice but to cut it off short. Really.. i feel that the future intake is getting soft and weaker.. i wonder if the standard of discipline will be strengthen in the coming years. I hope by then, ill be long gone..

~ My " 23 rd " Birthday ~

Time sure... do fly very fast. A moment ago, i was "22". Next thing i know, I'm already "23". Damn I'm old. Haha.. Hmm.. 23 huh.. Looks like I'm able to enter the "Sex Shop" already. This is going to be interesting hahaha.. ( Ya Right.. As if I'm going into that shop ).

Hmm.. 7th February 2010 on Sunday ( My Birthday ). Supposedly, Birthday Celebration should be done either at home or outside with friends or family..

Well i Celebrate mine at SCDF HQ with my Rota 1. It was a quiet environment since HQ is close on weekends. I begin my day at work with a warm welcome and wishes from all my friends. Thanks Guys for all the wishes. haha.. Well no ragging for the day. That's a relief. Duty wise as per normal. Since it was my birthday, my I/C decide to give me a 2hr ( ED : Early Departure). Thank You.. I/C. Around 1600hrs, i was release from work. Wohoo.. i leave the gate with a big smile and tell my intake who's on duty " LCP Low Kar Keat " Where Got Time.. haha.. Reached home around 1800hrs. I was expecting surprises at home but no one was around.. So i went to bed early.. Kind of exhausted any way for the day.. I wonder why? hmm perhaps the day is abit slow.. ( - _ - !)

That how i Celebrate my Birthday for the day. Ya.. I know. It's kind of lame but look at the bright side. At least i celebrate with my 2nd Family at work. hehe..

Oww ya.. My friend gave me a so called birthday cake. Haha.. actually, its not a cake. Its an egg tart.. haha.. Thanks "LCP Yap" It was delicious with just a single bite.

hmmm.. My wish for this year :

After The Promotion Ceremony, i head down to Singapore Changi Airport.

Few Weeks before, i place An Order White Chocolate Macadamia which is my Dad favourite Cake. Purchase the cake from no other then Secret Recipe Cafe. Meet up with my Ex crew.. Wohoo.. show them my Rank also.. Ok i know, i know. i gone too far.. too proud in other way. haha.. just joking around.. Share my happiness. Around 2100hrs, I head home. Supposedly, i was to surprise my dad when he reached home from work but i end up went to bed early. Hayoo...

End up, we celebrate his Birthday the next morning. Breakfast for the Morning, White Chocolate macadamia. hahaha.. Well it made me full, so.. it was good enough especially it goes along with Hot chocolate.. Its one amazing moment. Haha.. My dad was happy and smiling.

That really made my day..

Well i would like to wish My Dad A Happy 53rd birthday. You as the head of the family, have done alot. Even in the moments of ups and down, you never fail to put a smile to our faces. Yes, we persevere and with your guidance, we are not lost. You The Best dad in the world..

Well the promotion Ceremony was held at SCDF HQ Auditorium.

Well as instructed by my CSM, everyone must reach HQ by 1300hrs.

I thought i was late so i took a cab. When i reach HQ, thats where my friends told me that the ceremony only starts at around 1500 or 1600Hrs...

I took the cab for nothing. Haiz.. Meet up with Keat, Yap and Atif.

We decided to go to grand link to play some Lan Games.

Wohoo.. It was a blast. BATTLE FIELD II !!

Around 1530Hrs, We took a cab and rush back to HQ.

Around 1555Hrs, we made it in time.

The atmosphere wasn't that happening. Just a crowd of Privates, LCP and CPL sleeping at the Auditorium. Very Soon Also, i doze off too.. haha.. So Shiok!!

The one who gave away the ranks is Colonel Chong. To my opinion about him, he got this serious look and no Joke kind of person but Yesterday ceremony, he is totally different guy. He crack a joke on me and some of the other NSF guys.. I was amaze.. Imagine u were about to receive your Rank, u are given a Uniform Check. Like What the hell.. haha.. He check every area of my Uniform.. He said to me. I feel save working in HQ because I'm Kilat. Hahaha.. Power!!

I went down the stage with a smile..

After the ceremony, we have a light reception for all new LCP, CPL and SGT's !! hahaha..

Well.. At the end of the day, i head back home while the rest of my Rota mates continue on with their Night Shift. hehe... I Took Vocation Leave for the day because on the 28th January 2010 also my Dad's Birthday.. haha...

Imagine your family were siting down at the hall watching Movie Treats together when suddenly, someone knocks on your door. First thing you can think off is perhaps a Sales person, The Mail man, or an unknown person at your door step. When you try to peek through the door, no one was there but the knocking continues. The next think you can think off would be some rescale kids try to play prank on you..

So What happen next..

I open up the door and was about to scold the F*** Word then Something gave me a big shock of my life..

We Felt Sorry for the Pigeon. We gave it some bread and water. It was very Hungry and thirsty. Haiz.. That poor thing.. We thought of bringing it in to our home but my small sister have asthma.. So understand understood lah. We wrap it with cloth and left it for the night. It slept soundly i guess after that. The next Morning, my mom told me that it flew off but not a very good flight.. Well, every one in my family felt relief and so, life goes on hahaha...

Farewell 2009 ... and HELLO.. 2010 !!!

There were many ups and down i been through in 2009. For example in Schools, relationship, friends, family or other issues.. Even so, im still here standing tall, not gving up hope till i achieve something in life. There were mistakes here and there i have done but Lessons were learn. If during the year that i may have upsets anyone, my sincere apology.

Well its a Brand New Year. Its good to have a fresh start. Well my New Year Resolution:
